Step 1 – Ensure the shed has a level & sufficient base in place. A concrete or sleeper base is ideal. Position the floor ensuring it is level.
Step 2 – With the floor in place, each panel can now be positioned & screwed together starting with the back panel.
Step 3 – The side panels sit on top of the floor panel. The cladding over hangs the floor panel and finishes flush to the edge.
Step 4 – The second panel is positioned in place. Butted up tight to the other panel.
Step 5 – Once both sides are in place, you should have something that looks like this. The panels should be screwed together as you go.
Step 6 – The last panel to be fitted and screwed into place is the front panel.
Step 7 – The panels can be secured by screwing through the framework, as shown above.
Step 8 – Next step is to fit the roof panel which should slot into position around the framework of the store.
Step 9 – Roll the felt across the roof leaving approx. 60mm overhang. Advisable to felt this panel before fitting.
Step 10 – Cut the felt leaving 60mm overhang – enough to fold & tack.
Step 11 – Fold the felt neatly at the corner and tack along the roof edge. Repeat in all 4 corners.
Step 12 – The side edging boards are then cut to fit and nailed to sandwich the felt along the roof edge.
Step 13 – The excess front and rear edging boards are trimmed with a handsaw for a perfect fit.
Step 14 – You have been provided with 6 x shelf supports that can now be fixed at the same level height to the framework.
Step 15 – These supports should be screwed into into the far corner and the supports either side.
Step 16 – Once the supports are secure, the half width shelf can be positioned & screwed into framework.
Step 17 – Attach the double doors supplied by screwing the hinges into the front framework.
Step 18 – Next, you must secure the keep element of your brenton bolt that will keep your door closed.
Step 19 – Your large tool store is now complete!
